Jesse Metcalfe and Nadine Coyle

Jesse Metcalfe is a young actor who is hitting it pretty big in the television world. In July 1999, he landed a role on the NBC soap opera Passions, where he remained until 2004. He cited the reason that he left the show was he felt that he wasn’t going to get anymore out of it. In 2003 and 2004, Metcalfe made two guest appearances on the WB’s Smallville, a show chronicling a young Superman, Clark Kent. Metcalfe really hit the jackpot when he got a job on ABC’s smash hit Desperate Housewives. He plays a gardener who is having a secret affair with one of the housewives. You know, because they’re desperate.

Nadine Coyle is a singer in the British girl band Girls Aloud. In 2001, she entered a televised talent show and, as one of the winners of the show, helped form the pop group Six. However, during taping, Nadine let her birth date slip, which she had lied about to make herself 18, when she was in fact, 16. Due to age requirements, she was then dropped from the band. In 2002, Coyle tried again on Popstars: The Rivals. You eventually made it into the top three and became part of the band Girls Aloud. Girls Aloud have score 15 top 10 singles, three of which have been number one. They have also released four platinum albums.

In February 2006, while Girls Aloud were on tour, Metcalf and Coyle met for the first time. Rumors of a relationship immediately started swirling. The pair appeared in OK! Magazine to both confirm their relationship and clear up misinformation.

On November 16th, 2006, it was reported that the couple had broken up. However, on November 28th, 2006, pictures surfaced of them together and the couple confirmed that they were back together after a short “break.”
