Where are they now? David Faustino of Married…With Children
65
Married With Children (I refuse to write the ellipsis every time I write the name of the show!) is a pretty big part of my childhood. In my memory, it always conjures up memories of the Simpsons, or vice versa. I think they used to be on one after the other, though I’m not sure in what order. I didn’t really watch Married With Children, just got tidbits of it every now and then. I seemed to like it a lot, though. Not necessarily because it was funny – that humor was lost on me then – but because it was racy and I knew I shouldn’t be watching it.
David Faustino played Bud Bundy on Married With Children for the entire duration of its 10 year run, from 1987 to 1997. Since then, he’s had an on again/off again career, guest starring in television shows and acting in the occasional movie.
In 1998, after Married was over, he starred in two films, 12 Bucks and Lover and Liras. He then went on to star in Dirt Merchant and Heist, which also starred Luke Perry and rapper-turned-actor Ice-T.
In 1999, he did a guest spot on the sitcom Jesse, opposite fellow Married With Children alumni Christina Applegate. That same year, he also guest starred on The New Addams Family and Unhappily Ever After.
Over the next five years, he guest starred on several shows, including Nash Bridges, The Zeta Project, Going To California, The X Files, Static Shock, and The Bernie Mac Show. He also starred in such films as Killer Bud, 10 Attitudes, and Freezerburn.
He’s currently working for Wynn Casino in Las Vegas selling time-shares, as well as starring in the movie RoboDoc with Alan Thicke and his ex-wife, Andrea Faustino. That’s gotta be awkward!
