Whatever Happened to Dave Coulier from Full House?

Dave Coulier (pronounced Cool-Yay) is best known for his portrayal of Joey Gladstone on the wholesome family sitcom Full House. His role as the funnyman Uncle-figure was undoubtedly his biggest role to date, but that’s not to say that he hasn’t found other work.

So what happened to Dave Coulier?

What a lot of people probably don’t know is that at the same time that Full House was running, Dave was also doing the voice of Dr. Peter Venkman on the cartoon show The Real Ghostbusters. Fans of the Ghostbusters might recall that Bill Murray portrayed Dr. Venkman in the live action films.

From 1990 to 1994, Coulier co-hosted America’s Funniest People, which was a spin-off of sorts of America’s Funniest Home Videos. Coincidentally, America’s Funniest Home Videos was hosted by Bob Saget, Coulier’s co-star on Full House.

After Full House was cancelled in 1995, Coulier did quite a few television guest appearances. He did guest spots on Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher, Pinky and the Brain (where he did the voice of Tom Hanks), Head Over Heels, George & Leo, and several more shows. He also reprised his role as the voice of Dr. Peter Venkman for a 1997 episode of Extreme Ghostbusters.

Lately, Coulier has appeared on The Surreal Life, as well as FOX’s reality television program Skating with Celebrities. He is currently touring with the comedy troupe Duck’s Breath Mystery Theater.
